A big fat thank you goes out to the lovely Jessi, all our incredible contributors, our guests who devoted their weekend to come and learn what we're all about, and to all my family & friends who have been so supportive and encouraging over the last 6 months! Also thanks so much to our speakers, sponsors, boutique market vendors, and The Center Bistro for being such a huge part in our event. I couldn't have done it without each and every one of you. AND I must give a few more special shout outs to my dad {who believed in me enough to invest in my dream}, my Aunt Mellie &Uncle Sterling {who flew in from Utah to watch my 5 kids while we worked over the whole weekend}, my mom, bestest friend Kathie & sister Eryn {who have always rooted me on and given me advice and ideas}, and Braden {who was always there, even for things that made him uncomfortable- like public speaking!}. I have THE BEST family ya'll and I owe it all to them!

Over the next few months the blog & website will be going through all kinds of makeovers, upgrades, and such prepping for the upcoming New Year! On the blog we'll be starting regularly scheduled posting after our recap this week of all the classes!

Breast Cancer Fundraiser with Wood Creations Furniture

You guys, we are less than twelve hours away from the kick off of the inaugural hello there! house home & garden event and with that kick off comes the start of our initiative to contribute to breast cancer research.
Throughout the event, we will be selling $5 raffle tickets, the entire proceeds of which, will go directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer awareness and research.
What are those spicy little raffle tickets good for? Well a generous $200 gift certificate donation from Wood Creations Furniture is what those spicy little raffle tickets are good for.
Peruse their website and gallery to see just a few examples of the many styles and finishes available for the quality home furnishings they have to offer. You just may win a $200 gift certificate to spend at your discretion!
We thank BJ Powell and the entire Wood Creations Furniture family for their generosity and willingness to not only donate a bountiful gift certificate to our conference attendees, but to their awesome hearts in raising awareness for breast cancer research.
If you weren’t able to snag a ticket to the event and participate in the raffle, we would still love to collect online donations of any denomination throughout the duration of the conference. Your contribution is greatly appreciated by all those who have been directly or indirectly affected by the horrendous disease that is breast cancer. We thank you for all you do to promote awareness and research initiatives.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

Ya'll. hello there! house is on FRIDAY.

Everyone is scurrying around, prepping for their classes and we've had some last minute changes to deal with (doesn't that always seem to be the case with everything?)

We had one teacher have to bow out unexpectedly and another teacher having to be in her store due to an employee shortage, so we will be moving those classes to the beginning of the new year with our Monthly hello there! house classes {more on this development later!}

So due to these unforeseen changes we have shuffled things around a bit and come up with our new Event Schedule! This new schedule features more group classes for everyone to enjoy and participate in- so if you were dying to take a certain class but it was offered during the same time as another class you were dying to attend you are in luck!

If you are attending the event and have not chosen your classes yet, please visit hthclassregistration.eventbrite.com to choose your classes!

Vendor Spotlight Weekend: Adornment

With only 12 days away from the Big Event, we're highlighting all our Boutique Market vendors this weekend! Woot woot! First up, Adornment {vintage in bloom}

Adornment is ran by the Lovely Lindsee

My name is Lindsee: creator, bookkeeper, happy wife, and mother of 2 year old twins. I guess you could say I am addicted to creating. After trying almost every craft out there, I have settled down and realized that I love fabric flowers because they are so versatile. I have put them on shirts, jackets, headbands, lamps, curtains, purses, etc. They can dress up or down outfits, add some color, and make my messy bun look like I put forth some kind of effort (best trick ever). I have been making and selling these blooms since 2003 and my designs keep evolving with the times.

My shop, Adornment, is where I mainly sell my items. All of my blooms are made with vintage materials, which is what makes Adornment unique. Each bloom is inspired and created from an extensive (and I mean, ex-ten-sive...) collection of vintage lace, fabrics, and jewelry making each one all it's own. I have made a conscious effort to keep my prices affordable. My standard is if I wouldn't pay it, then I won't charge it.

Adornment sells blooms and bows for women and the little gals. Recently, Adornment has added bow ties for the little guys to it's repertoire. Little boys need love too.

We can't wait to see what Lindsee has in store for us at the Boutique Market!
